Henry was killed in action on May 1, 1953, shortly before the Armistice was signed at Panmunjom. He is buried in the United Nations Cemetery in Pusan. Henry was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Worthington Branch 29 in Wainwright. Ambrose, James Herbert James was born in 1909 in the Teddington area of London, England. He joined the army in 1940 and served in World War Two with the Calgary Tank Regiment in Britain, Holland, Italy, France, and Belgium. After his discharge in 1945, James settled in Millet, Alberta. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Millet Branch 229 for over fifty years. James died in 2000. Andersen, William Lyng “Will” Will was born in Standard, Alberta in 1923. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and after basic training in Edmonton, was posted to 4. C.M.V. Calgary, Penhold, Whitehorse, and Grande Prairie. Will was a carpenter and built airplane hangars, always carving his initials in each of the rafters he worked on. He was discharged on the day World War Two ended. Will told his family his excuse for not going overseas was: “Someone had to stay back and look after the women!” Will was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 66 in Ponoka, Alberta for eleven years until he passed away in 1984.
