He served with the Infantry and drove tanks in Italy during World War Two. Bill was a Charter Member of The Royal Canadian Legion Hinton Branch 249 and maintained his membership for 29 years. His sister and three brothers also served in the Army during World War Two. He died in 1978. Worton, Bill Bill was born on January 1, 1911. The eldest of four serving brothers during World War Two, Ed was a Sergeant in the Army. After the war, he established the first IGA in Tofield where he was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 91. Bill died in 1960. Worton, Charles Charles was born on January 1, 1921. He apprenticed with his father in the newspaper business but enlisted in the Armed Forces during World War Two with his three brothers. Charles served with the Navy in Ontario and after the war, ran the newspaper in Rimbey. He moved to Calgary in 1958 and joined The Herald. Charles died in 1963.
