He was raised in Red Deer, Alberta. During World War Two, Jim served as a Corporal in Canada, with the Canadian Army for four-and-a-half years, from 1941 to 1946. He and his wife and family lived in Millet, Alberta for some years and later lived in Leduc, Alberta. Jim is now deceased. Wilson, Russell Russell was born on October 10, 1915, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He served in the Army during World War Two as a driver and mechanic with the New Westminster Regiment between 1941 and 1946. Russell lived in the Ministik District until he passed away in 1987. He is buried in Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Sherwood Park. Winters, William Henry “Bill” Bill was born on March 18, 1883, in Pine River Mills, California, a town founded by his grandfather. In 1907, Bill and his two brothers left for Alberta and filed for homesteads in the Sundre area. Bill and one of his brothers enlisted in the Army and were sent to France with the 50th Battalion. His brother was killed in action but Bill returned home when the war ended. He ranched in the Poplar Creek and Bearberry districts before moving to the Cut-Off Creek area in the Clearwater Forest Reserve in the early 1930s. In 1945, Bill bought a place on Moose Creek and stayed there for a few years. In November 1956, he suffered a stroke and passed away in the hospital in Olds. He is buried in the Field of Honour in the Olds Cemetery.
