THE ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION ALBERTA-NWT COMMAND www.abnwtlegion.com 323 Wilk, Louie Bernard Louis was born on November 30, 1920. He was raised in Round Hill near Camrose, Alberta. He was a Leading Aircraftsman in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War Two. He served from February 1942 to October 1945 for a total of three years and seven months. Louie received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Maple Leaf Clasp. Upon discharge, Louie settled in Millet, Alberta. Louie passed away suddenly from a heart attack on November 21, 1966. Wilkinson, Jack Jack was born on April 20, 1924 and was raised in Strathmore, Alberta. During World War Two, he served as a Gunner with the 1st Field Royal Canadian Horse Artillery in the United Kingdom, Central Mediterranean, and Continental Europe from 1942 to 1946. He received the 1939-1945 Star, the Italy Star, the France and Germany Star, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. Jack farmed west of Millet, Alberta after the War. He is deceased. Williams, Alfred James “Jim” Jim was born in Edmonton in 1907. He enlisted in the Army at the beginning of World War Two and served in North Africa and Italy with the 1st Canadian Armoured Brigade. After the war, Jim farmed and then when he retired, moved into Tofield where he was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 91. Jim died in 2005 at the age of 95.
