During World War Two, he served in the Canadian Army. Erwin is deceased. Warnke, Hartwig Hartwig was born on August 28, 1922, on his parents’ farm southwest of Millet, Alberta. During World War Two, he served as a Bombardier in Canada with the Canadian Army’s Royal Canadian Artillery. He did Basic Training in Calgary and then served in Esquimalt, BC, M.P.O. 1110 Prince Rupert, BC, and at Shilo, MB from December 28, 1942 to December 22, 1945. After the war, Hartwig lived in Mulhurst, AB for two years, Edmonton for nine or ten years, and he moved to Chilliwack, BC in 1959. He enjoyed motor home traveling, camping and outdoor activities, and wood working. Hartwig died on December 30, 1992 and is buried in Royal Oaks, Victoria, BC. Warnke, Helmuth E. Helmuth was born on December 24, 1917 and he was raised in Millet, Alberta. During World War Two, he served as a Private for thirty days in 1941. He is now deceased. No further information was available.
