He served duringWorldWar Two with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles of the Royal Canadian Infantry Corps in Europe. Tom was killed in action on July 4, 1944 during the D-Day Landings. He is buried in the Bény-sur-Mer Canadian War Cemetery in Reviers, France. Trudeau, Francois-Xavier “Frank” Frank was born in Joliette, Quebec in 1878. He homesteaded near Falher in northern Alberta until he joined the 66th Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force on September 30, 1915 in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Frank went to England and then served in Belgium and France with the 49th Battalion. He saw action at Ypres and the Somme, and his regiment did “mopper-upper” duty at Vimy Ridge. Frank was hospitalized after he was wounded for a second time near Avion, France and then assigned to support duties at Camp Bramshott set up on Bramshott Common in Hampshire, England. He was discharged on February 17, 1919 and returned to his homestead near Falher. Frank passed away on October 23, 1930 from illnesses the coroner related to his war service. Trudel, Oscar Oscar was born in Legal, Alberta on March 27, 1911. He served in the Army during World War Two in Canada, England, and France. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Eaglesham Branch 235. Oscar died in 1972.
