He enlisted in the Navy in World War Two and received his steam (boiler) papers from the Central Technical School RCNVR in Toronto, Ontario in 1942. He was assigned to the HMCS Long Branch stationed at St. John’s, Newfoundland. He served in the North Atlantic until the end of the war. He received the Defence Medal, the 1939-1945 Star, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the War Medal 1939-1945. Lorents was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Viking Branch 81. He died in 1998. Trace, Harold Harold was born on January 2, 1910, in Innisfree, Alberta. He served three years as an instructor at the Air Training Base in St. Thomas, Ontario during World War Two. Harold died in the mid 1960’s. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Innisfree Branch 74. Trahan, James Aloysius “Jim” Jim was born in High River, Alberta in 1920. He enlisted in the RCAF on July 31, 1941 and served in Canada, England, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. He was discharged on November 15, 1945. Jim was awarded the France and Germany Star, the Defence of Britain Medal, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. Jim was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Ponoka Branch 66 and served in many positions on the Executive. He died in 2002.
