He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Kinsella Branch 222. He died in 1977. Tose, Cyril Cyril was born on March 10, 1900, in Middlesbrough, England. His family immigrated to Canada in 1908 and Cyril attended school at the Old Alexandria School in Calgary before his family moved to their homestead in Caroline, Alberta in 1911. He enlisted in the Army in January 1941 and joined the 5th Army Division Workshop in the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps. He served for almost five years duringWorldWar Two in the United Kingdom, the Central Mediterranean, and Continental Europe. Cyril was awarded the 1939-1945 Star, Italy Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp, and the Mentioned in Dispatches Oak Leaf. Cyril returned to Caroline after being discharged in October 1945. He passed away on July 2, 1984. Tough, Gordon Gordon joined the Loyal Edmonton Regiment with his best friend, George Campion. Both were killed in action during World War Two. Gordon was killed on December 21, 1943 during the Battle of Ortona in Italy. He is buried in the Moro River Canadian War Cemetery in Italy.
