He enlisted in the Army on April 22, 1942, in Regina, Saskatchewan, and served in Canada, France, and Germany. He was awarded the 1939-1945 Service Star, France and Germany Star, King George VI Defence Medal, and Canada 1939-1945 Voluntary Service Medal. Bill married Irene Whitlow after the war and managed the Imperial Oil Bulk Station and finally bought and operated Bill’s ESSO Garage. He died in 1968. Tipper, G. G. Tipper was an Irma and District World War One Veteran who died in active service. No further information was available. Tober, Gottlieb Gottlieb was born in Zhitomir, Volhynia, Russia in 1897. After coming to Canada, he enlisted in the Army and served with the Canadian Expeditionary Force during World War One. Gottlieb died on February 12, 1979.
