He joined the Canadian Army in 1916 and took his basic training in Calgary’s Sarcee Camp. He served as an Ambulance driver in Winnipeg, Manitoba and was discharged in 1918. He returned to the farm and then went into the repair and garage business. James was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Viking Branch 81. Taylor, Ralph D. “Bud” Bud was born in Kalispell, Montana. He enlisted in the Canadian Army in 1940 and spent five years overseas in England, Germany, and France. He was discharged in Calgary in 1945. Bud worked in the dairy business in Red Deer, Alberta, then came to Viking and worked in the Co-op Creamery (later was Northern Alberta Dairy Pool), which he managed. Bud died in 1972. Bud was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Viking Branch 81. Taylor, William C. William was born March 4, 1900, in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England. He joined the Royal Marines in 1918 and served in Russia in World War One. In 1926, he settled into the Minburn, Alberta area. In World War Two, he served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in Canada from 1941 to 1945. William was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Innisfree Branch 74.
