He enlisted in World War Two with the Canadian Army and served in Canada. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Viking Branch 81 for forty years. George died on February 24, 1986. Sawyer, Clarence Clarence was born on August 14, 1895, in Bemidji, Minnesota. His family moved to Caroline, Alberta in 1909 to homestead. Clarence volunteered for the Army in 1916 and joined the 67th Infantry Corps at Sarcee Camp in Calgary. He was sent oversea after transferring to the 49th Infantry but suffered pneumonia after being gassed during training. Clarence returned to Caroline and was discharged in 1918. He worked for the forestry service and became a ranger at the Clearwater Ranger Station. In 1946, Clarence became a Game Officer and remained with the Game Service until he retired in 1960. Schell, Norman Alfred Norman was born in 1923. He enlisted in the Army as a Bombardier on February 5, 1941 and went on to serve in Canada, England, France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. He was discharged on February 21, 1946. Norman was awarded the 1939-1945 Star, the France and Germany Star, the Defence Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, and the War Medal 1939-1945. Norman was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Ponoka Branch 66. He died in 1999.
