He served as a Private with the Loyal Edmonton Regiment during World War Two, but he was killed in action on October 6, 1943. His brother Ched was also killed in action in World War Two. Ryerse, Bob Bob was born in 1921 in Edmonton, Alberta. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Innisfree Branch 74 and he died in 1982. No further information was available. Rytz, Arden August Arden was born in Alberta in 1922. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on May 27, 1942 and served in Canada, England, and India, and with South East Asia Command until he was discharged on January 16, 1946 with the rank of Leading Aircraftman. Arden was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp, Defence Medal, Victory Medal, 1939-1945 Star, and Burma Star. After the war, he enrolled in the Forestry program at the University of British Columbia and worked with Imperial Lumber Co. Ltd. after graduating in 1950. Arden became executive director of the Alberta Forest Products Association until he retired in 1989. He led the move in the forest industry to establish the Quota System commitment to sustained yield management and reforestation and was an ardent supporter of the Forest Industry Lecture Series. Arden was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 169 in Boyle, Alberta for 25 years until he passed away on June 25, 2010.
