He enlisted in the Army on July 14, 1942 and served with Unit 3, Recovery C.A.D. as a mechanic in Canada, England, Northwest Europe, and Germany duringWorldWar Two. He was discharged on January 10, 1946 and awarded the 1939-1945 Star, Defence Medal, France and Germany Star, and Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp. After returning from the war, Archie worked as a mechanic in Ponoko, Alberta and eventually owned his own garage. He died in 1969. Roddick, Rod Rod was born on February 11, 1915 in Viking, Alberta. He joined the Air Force on December 4, 1941 and trained as an Aircraftsman at Mountain View Gunnery School. He went overseas March 26, 1943 and returned to Canada August 29, 1945. Rod was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Viking Branch 81 and he died on March 3, 1981. Rogers, Arthur Creighton Creighton was born in Edmonton, Alberta on November 9, 1920 and was raised in Millet, Alberta. Creighton joined the Army duringWorldWar Two and attained the rank of Lieutenant. He served fromMay 1942 to July 1946 in Canada, England, and Continental Europe. In later years, he lived in Sicamous, BC where he enjoyed amateur radio operation and traveling. He is deceased.
