He received severe burns in a mustard gas test at Suffield in 1944. After the war, Ed was very active in his community as a member of Tofield Town Council, the Agriculture Society, the Golden Club, the Lions, and The Royal Canadian Legion Tofield Branch 91. Ed died in 1997. Reynar, Douglas Hall “Doug” Doug was born on January 23, 1919, on his family’s farm a mile or so southwest of Millet, Alberta. His family later moved to Leduc, Alberta. During World War Two, Doug served as a Corporal in the Canadian Army in England and in Canada from 1940 to 1944. Before World War Two, Doug and his brother Oakley, who also served during World War Two, operated the Maple Leaf Garage in Millet. After the war ended, he worked as a mortician until his death in 1967. He loved golfing and curling. Rice, George Henry George was born on October 22, 1879, in Chatham, Ontario. George was a farmer until he enlisted in the 51st Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force in Edmonton on June 16, 1915.
