In 1919, the family moved to the West Liberty District west of Millet, Alberta. Ted joined the Canadian Army on December 6, 1943. He served as a Private with the South Saskatchewan Regiment during World War Two until he was killed in action in France on August 28, 1944. Ted is buried in the Bretteville-surLaize Military Cemetery about 14 kilometres south of Caen in France. Reay, Jack Jack served in the Army during World War One. No further information was available. Reese, Richard Llewelyn Richard was born in Montgomeryshire, Wales, on June 8, 1882. In 1906, he immigrated to Columbus, Ohio, USA, and came to Alberta in 1911. He enlisted in the 51st Battalion, Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force, and was sent to France. He was honourably discharged in Calgary on February 3, 1917 after being declared medically unfit for further service. Richard purchased land through the Soldiers’ Settlement Board in the Ponoka area where he farmed for many years. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Ponoka Branch 66. Richard died in 1964.
