He came west from Neepawa, Manitoba to Edmonton, Alberta in 1912. He enlisted in the Army in World War One and served with the rank of Sergeant with the Royal Army Medical Corps Training Depot, #13 Medical Corps. When he was discharged, Joseph moved to a Soldier Settlement farm east of Kavanagh, Alberta. McAuley, Raymond G. Raymond was born in Millet, Alberta in 1924. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy as an Able Bodied Seaman on December 29, 1943 and served until September 7, 1945 aboard the HMCS Kincardine, a destroyer on convoy duty. His main route was from St. John’s, Newfoundland to Londonderry, Ireland. Raymond passed away in 1986. McConnell (Gray), Joy Lee Joy was born in Millet, Alberta on October 3, 1924. She served in the Canadian Women’s Army Corps during World War Two. She returned to Millet after the war. Joy is now deceased.
