He immigrated to Canada and worked as a bricklayer until he enlisted in the 51st Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force in Edmonton, Alberta, on August 25, 1915. He was serving with the 46th Battalion when it is believed he was killed on January 5, 1917 in the buildup to the attack onVimy Ridge. Richard was twenty years old. He is buried at Villers Station Cemetery, Villers-au-Bois, Pas-de-Calais, France. King, Ron L. Ron was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia on May 27, 1933. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers on September 4, 1956 in Halifax, NS. Ron served in Soest, Germany from 1960 to 1963 and completed two tours in Cyprus between 1966 and 1973. He was with Base Maintenance in St. Hubert, Quebec for the 1976 Montreal Olympics and in 1977, worked on the Eagle River Bridge in the North. Ron’s final posting before he retired was as NCO I/C of the metal repair shop in Shearwater, NS. Ron was a Life Member of The Royal Canadian Legion Worthington Branch 29 in Wainwright until his death in 2010. Kinley, Roy James Roy was born in 1924 in Lacombe, Alberta. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942 and was stationed in Edmonton after completing training in Claresholm, Alberta and Abbotsford, British Columbia. Roy was the first in his squadron to fly solo and was training for night missions when the war ended. He was honourably discharged in 1926. Roy was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Ponoka Branch 66 for 35 years. He died in 2000.
