He immigrated to Canada and lived in Coronation, Alberta. He worked as a surveyor until he enlisted in the 51st Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force on January 27, 1915 in Coronation. No further information was available. Hagen, David Ray David was born on September 28, 1923 and raised in Millet, Alberta. He enlisted in the Army during World War Two and served in Italy, England, Holland, and Belgium. He lived in Langley, BC during his retirement. David passed away on December 14, 1996. Halladay, John John was born near Mulhurst, Alberta on September 11, 1921. He enlisted in the Army on March 31, 1942 and took basic training in Ottawa and Debert, Nova Scotia. John served in the Second Squadron of the Canadian Grenadier Guards of the 22nd Canadian Armoured Regiment. He arrived in England on October 7, 1942 and drove a Sherman tank through France, Belgium, and Holland, where he celebrated D Day. He then went on to Czechoslovakia and Germany from February 23 to May 4, 1945. He was awarded the Defence Medal, France and Germany Star, 1939-1945 Star, and 1939-1945 King George VI Medal. After returning to Canada, John purchased a farm near Mulhurst, Alberta where he loved life as a farmer. He bought an airplane in 1960 and enjoyed flying and being a mechanic. He attended several reunions overseas and in Montreal. John and his family moved to Leduc, Alberta in 2005 and he passed away on July 30, 2012. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Pioneer Branch 144 in Thorsby, Alberta for 62 years.
