Joe enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942 and was discharged in 1945. Joe is now deceased. His brother David also served in the Army during World War Two. Grapentine, Clarence Henry Clarence was born on July 12, 1920 and raised in Millet, Alberta. He served in the Army in Canada duringWorldWar Two from 1942 to 1943. Clarence farmed in Millet for many years and then lived in Edmonton where he enjoyed woodworking and golfing. Clarence passed away in 2001. Grove, Ernest William Ernest was born in England on August 12, 1917. After immigrating to Canada, he enlisted in the Edmonton Regiment on September 9, 1941 and served as a Sapper in England, France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany during World War Two. He also served as a chauffeur for a Colonel while with the 3rd Battalion CREWorks. Ernest was awarded the 1939-1945 Star, Defence Medal, France and Germany Star, and Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp. He returned to Alberta after the war and worked for Northern Alberta Railways as a Section Foreman. Ernest was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 169 in Boyle for many years until he passed away on May 6, 2006. His brother also served in the Army during World War Two.
