He worked in Boyle until he decided to enlist in the Royal Canadian Navy. Robert was lost at sea in 1944 when the corvette HMCSAlberni he was serving aboard was sunk in the English Channel. His brother William served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War Two. Drewry, John B. John was born on February 25, 1924, in Snowball, Arkansas. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on March 3, 1941 and took part in the invasions of North Africa, Marshall Islands, Saipan, Tinian, Guam, Leyte, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa. John left the Service in late 1945 as a Chief Petty Officer. He moved to Alberta in 1959 and became one of the biggest buyers of horses in North America, combining his passions for horses and business. John passed away on August 23, 2012, in Raymond, Alberta. Duchuk, John John was raised in Alberta in Red Deer, Hobbema, and Consort. In 1923, his family moved to Millet, Alberta. John served in the Armed Services duringWorldWar Two. Following his discharge, he taught school for many years and lived in Chilliwack, BC. He is now deceased.
