He came to Canada and enlisted in the Army at the age of eighteen. He served as a Gunner in the 2nd Anti-Tank Regiment during World War Two in England and Continental Europe. Walter was awarded the 1939-1945 Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp, and Long Service Medal. Walter was discharged in 1945. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Fort Saskatchewan Branch 27. He died in 1985. Darling, James James was born in London, England on December 7, 1893. He immigrated to Canada and worked as a teamster before enlisting in the 51st Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force in Edmonton on June 12, 1915. He was sent to England in August 1916 and then served as a Private with the 50th Battalion in France. James was married in England while serving with the 21st Reserve Battalion and stayed in England after his discharge. Dash, Arthur Arthur was born in Portsmouth, England on July 21, 1874. He immigrated to Canada and worked in Sedgewick, Alberta as a shoemaker. He enlisted in Edmonton as a Private with the 51st Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force on August 13, 1915.
